On Monday 16th February we had a coffee and pastries morning at Rowton Hall and we were delighted to welcome the High Sheriff of Cheshire, Joelle Warren, her husband Andrew and our President Lord Ashbrook and his lovely wife, Zoe.

Team Riddell (Jim, Andy & Alex) had met Joelle on their sponsored walk with Chester Business Club in September and were very impressed with her interest in our cause. So we invited her to come and meet our members, which she was keen to do and spent a pleasant morning chatting to everyone as well as giving us a short talk about her role as High Sheriff. Lord Ashbrook spoke very highly of Joelle, who he had known for some time. Joelle’s period of office ends in 6 weeks and we understand that her successor’s husband has Parkinson’s, so we look forward to hopefully meeting the new Sheriff in due course. Putting Parkinson’s ‘front and centre’ is so important, the more we inform people about it and how it affects so many people the more we can help people with Parkinson’s. The ultimate goal being the day we don’t have to talk about it at all because it has been eradicated, wouldn’t that be wonderful? 😇🤗
